There are several volunteer opportunities offered throughout the academic year; some are ongoing commitments while others are one-time only events. Your participation is welcome and appreciated!

The Bike Education Program

October 20 – November 7
Volunteer
– Complete the CSD volunteer approval process (allow a few weeks).
– Sign up here to help during PE classes or on Biking Field Trips.
– Volunteers assist with helmet & bike fitting, encourage riders, support new learners, and chaperone biking field trip.
  – PE teacher support: No bike riding required.
  – Biking Field Trip: Must be able to ride.
Bike Maintenance Sessions 
– Open to 4th–5th graders & approved volunteers
– Learn and practice basic bike care while helping maintain the CSD fleet.
– Sessions rotate among elementary schools. It’s @ Letitia Carson on Thursday, November 6 from 2:40 – 3:30p.
– Sign up on your school’s SignUpGenius or email cassie.minot@corvallis.k12.or.us to find out about sessions at other schools.

Join the PTA

We need members! Everyone is welcome to attend the PTA meetings and be involved in the volunteer opportunities. However, in order to have a vote at the meetings, you must be an official PTA member. Membership dues are $11.50 for the school year. If you sign-up online there is a $2.50 transaction fee.

Volunteer Application

All volunteers must pass a free criminal background check before they can volunteer in the school with students. It takes a few weeks for the application to process. The background check is good for 2 years. Contact the main office if you have any questions. Please click the button below to complete our online volunteer application and background check.
